junk4funk is owned and operated by Victor Scott (BA Hons).

Victor Scott has been a professional musician and music teacher for more than 30 years.

Since September 2000 he has taught music part-time for Nottinghamshire Performing Arts. His last 3 Annual Lesson Observations rated his workshop delivery as “Outstanding”.

He has facilitated Inset Teaching Days for both Worcestershire and Nottinghamshire County Music Services and also worked for Pearl Drums.

Victor also taught drum-kit privately for several years and has ex-private students who are now professional musicians themselves.

junk4funk offers a Fun, Engaging and Accessible means of exploring the issue of Recycling – with a strong emphasis on educating the next generation.  It uses a cross-curricular approach, combining elements of learning from both the Environmental and Musical areas of the curriculum.

junk4funk was included in the book “Compendium for the Civic Economy” (2011 – NESTA) as an example of Social Innovation.

As well as a very large number of schools, council events and festivals all over the UK, junk4funk has delivered workshops and performances for EDF Energy, IKEA, BMW, Fair Trade and The National Trust..
